EDIT: Damn it, I didn’t realise how similar this is to a Cyanide & Happiness comic. It’s purely coincidential and was not my intention at all. I shall be googling my ideas before drawing them to avoid this in future.
I had to get this comic out of my system. I was staring at Photoshop with no ideas of what to do tonight, so I ended up doodling, and out came these top and bottom panels. I tried to think of other ideas but my mind wouldn’t let go of this idea, so it had to be done.
I’m having a bit of a phase with blood at the moment, it’s fun to paint, plus the red looks nice on white. Plus it’s Halloween month. Also, while I’m not a sports kinda guy, this weekend I ended up watching a whole rugby match (the world cup is being hosted in my city after all), and a lot of the players ended up bleeding (I don’t understand how those guys don’t die more often, very brutal stuff). So yup, blood.
Also, Loading Artist is nearing 5000 likes on Facebook! How exciting!

This is freaking hilarious!!! Love your work, man!! And that Cyanide cartoon is crap, compared to this. There’s 6 or 7 billion people on the planet – unique ideas are getting fairly impossible – it’s the delivery that counts.. And this one is awesome!! Draw some more, man… Doctors should prescribe this website as antidepresant medication!!
Most ideas can be traced to other sources.You have the protagonist and antagonist in a story, the details are just changed. Don’t worry too much.

I don’t know about the direction Loading Artist is heading in…I mean, when the comics started to center around losers (ugly guy with caterpillar eaten by bird) it was a welcome change of pace, and it was funny…but now there are too many of them. It’s like your comic has become the face of unsociable freaks with only their computers. Please restore the comic’s original tone of frivolousness and humor from the comic’s original creation that has since been lost.
You’re very wrong, humor is mostly about relatable experience, the only way to keep it fresh is really about variety. Whether it’s about talking fruit or finding a job, that’s up to him. Both are good, and the variety is celebrated.

I think it’s possible you had a similar independent idea. Better be clear about that before it gets blown out of proportion.

@ Gregor… If you google, you will not ever be able to do your own cartoons again. They will be tainted with fear of copying. IMHO, No way can anyone have a totally original idea anymore. Just our own peculiar twist to things…..

Beyond the brilliant brutal comedy and unbelievably expressive characterisation this comic has a wise lesson for everyone. The lesson is don’t mock people who aren’t doing you any harm.
